And if you decide you would like Melita to perform the important role of Benefits Advisor, you can rest assured that are advice and guidance is unbiased because we do not accept insurance commissions.  Instead, we charge fees and we credit you back 100% of any commissions to your fees.  This adds an additional layer of trust by removing any potential conflict of interest associated selecting the benefit plans that make the most sense for your business, not on which ones pay the best commissions.

Your assigned Benefits Advisor is responsible and accountable for the following:

  • Conduct an annual comprehensive market analysis to compare current benefits coverages and pricing versus all other options available in the market
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain the best coverages at the lowest possible premiums
  • Present decision makers with competitive benchmarking data to assist with final selections and strategy
  • Keep client abreast of any and all legislation, trends and market developments that may impact benefits strategy
  • Advise and guide client with international benefits
Benefits Admin

Benefits Administration & Support

Your assigned Benefits Specialist is responsible and accountable for the following:

  • Primary client contact for all benefits issues/questions
  • Manage annual Open Enrollment process
  • Prepare and conduct annual employee benefits feedback surveys
  • Create and distribute custom benefits communication materials
  • Responsible for auditing all monthly insurance carrier invoices and resolving discrepancies
Benefits Compliance

Benefits Compliance

Your assigned Compliance Specialist is responsible and accountable for the following:

Compliance Specialist
  • Ensure full compliance with all benefits laws and mandates
  • Maintain and distribute all benefits–related Federal & State Notices & Disclosures to employees
  • Ensure all government filings are completed, including ACA 1094C/1095 & 5500 tax filings
  • Prepare & distribute ERISA SPD and WRAP documents
  • Track & communicate relevant benefits legislation
